Gurudaspur victory for Congress: Will it help Rahul Gandhi in coming days
Amid the major political hue and cry over the failure or success of the Modi Government on the economic front.  the latest result from the Gurudaspur by-election will certainly will hamper the aspects of the government in the coming election.

However it will be difficult to say the victory of Congress in the above by election is a clear message for the 2019 election, however certainly it will encourage party morally and especially for Rahul Gandhi who is right now on the fron for the party in the coming elections.

Certainly it will be a major benefit for Rahul Gandhi who is playing active role in the recent elections for Congrress and especially the party is all set to go in Gujarat and Himachal Election.

It is noted that in a major achievement for the Congress as its candidate Sunil Kumar Jakhar defeated his BJP rival by an impressive  margin of 1.93 lakh votes in the Gurudaspur by-election.  Jakhar get total 4,99,752 votes where as BJP candidate Sawarn Singh Salaria got total  3,06,553 votes in the election. Result was also a major setback for AAP as its candidates couldn’t save his security deposit. AAP candidates got only 23,579 votes.

Certainly the result will be a boost up for Congress in a view in the coming elections. Party has said that the verdist is against the BJP policies in Center.

According to the Congress candidate and state unit chief, Sunil Kumar Jakhar, The result is against the policies of union government led by Narebdra Modi.Even he said that People have are disappointed with the decision of the Modi government on demonetisation and GST.  He said that people has voted against BJP’s economic and communal agenda.

It is noted that the bye-election was the result of the sad demise of BJP MP Vinod Khanna. However BJP has alleged that Congress rigged the election and government machinery was on misused to influence voters.

However it will be too early to say about the conclusion that the result has displayed the anger against the Modi government. Certainly the election has displayed the work of the  Captain led Congress government in the state.
